My polymer sensors seem misaligned in their sockets, is that normal?
The polymer sensors are cast and hydrated in a special solution which has a small amount of variability in the final size of the parts. We made the cavity larger than the typical size to accommodate the manufacturing variation in the parts. There are no problems with connectivity that are caused by the sensors appearing slightly misaligned. The contact pads in the rear are quite large and make good contact even if the sensors move around a little.
