Modifying INSIGHT headband
The Insight arm means to be somewhat tight to maintain good contact quality with the sensors though this can sometimes lead to some level of discomfort. Please note that the long arm (T8 headband) is referred to as the headband and it is manufactured to fit a wide variety of head sizes. The arm is angled inwards so that the sensor when fitted makes contact with the T8 location and not the plastic arm. The T8 headband can be adjusted for users with bigger/smaller heads where the shipped headband is not comfortable, by warming it with a hairdryer until the plastic becomes more flexible. They can then gently adjust the headband to fit their head.
We do not recommend adjusting AF3/AF4 and Pz arms as they are already very flexible so there should be no need to adjust them, I would not recommend heating them because it will discolour the plastic and could lead to mechanical delamination.
IMPORTANT: Do not adjust the T8 headband while it is cold. Doing this can cause the plastic to crack.
