How to import EDF files from EmotivPRO into EEGLAB
If you’re looking to post-process your EEG data collected in EmotivPRO using EEGLAB, we’ve created a detailed step-by-step guide to help you seamlessly import EDF files into EEGLAB.
👉 Access the full guide here.
Channel Locations – No .ced File Needed
Good news — you don’t need a .ced file for channel location mapping. In Step 5 of the guide, we explain how to use the default MNI coordinate file that comes built-in with EEGLAB.
When prompted to set the channel locations:
Go to the dropdown menu.
Select “Use MNI coordinate file…”
Follow the remaining steps as outlined in the guide.
This will map your EEG channels accurately based on standard MNI coordinates.
Need a visual walkthrough?
We’ve also created a short video tutorial demonstrating the import process and how to handle markers properly.
👉 Watch the video here.
