Here’s how to make your own primer fluid and saline solution for the Insight headset, as well as for the EPOC X and Flex models.

For the Insight Headset

The primer fluid for the Insight headset helps to ensure good sensor contact with the skin and optimal signal quality. If you run out of the pre-supplied fluid, you can create your own using glycerin and saline.

Ingredients:

• Food-grade glycerin
• Saline solution (Eye contact cleaning solution)

Instructions:

1. Mix the Fluid: Combine 70% saline solution with 30% glycerin. The glycerin helps the solution stay on the sensor tips, improving the signal quality.
2. Apply to Sensor Tips: Apply a small amount of the homemade primer fluid to each sensor tip. Be sure to avoid excess fluid that might cause discomfort or affect the sensor’s functionality.
