If you’re looking to post-process your EEG data collected in EmotivPRO using EEGLAB, we’ve created a detailed step-by-step guide to help you seamlessly import EDF files into EEGLAB.

Channel Locations – No .ced File Needed

Good news — you don’t need a .ced file for channel location mapping. In Step 5 of the guide, we explain how to use the default MNI coordinate file that comes built-in with EEGLAB.

When prompted to set the channel locations:

  1. Go to the dropdown menu.
  2. Select “Use MNI coordinate file…”
  3. Follow the remaining steps as outlined in the guide.

This will map your EEG channels accurately based on standard MNI coordinates.
