Product Manager – Research Applications (Sydney, San Francisco)

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, passionate about building scientific products that customers love, to take ownership of our company’s end-user research tools for basic brain research and neuromarketing. Working closely with the VP of Product, you will play a key role in the definition, execution and assessment of core components of our product roadmap.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that improve customer experience and drive growth
  • Translate product strategy into detailed user facing and technical requirements
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
  • Work closely with design and engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources and ensure that requirements are achieved
  • Take responsibility for product documentation and guides for our users
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
  • Support product launches in collaboration with marketing team members
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed
  • Identify and track product KPIs to inform design and strategy decisions
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding internally and externally
  • Represent the company by communicating to customers to provide support and solicit feedback on company products and services

 
Requirements
 

  • Proven work experience in product management with a strong product portfolio in software development
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 
Preferred skills and experience
 

  • Experience building research tools
  • Experience building software solutions that are integrated with hardware
  • Experience building data visualization and analysis tools
  • Experience in neuroscience, psychology, or behavioral sciences
  • Understanding of and interest in neuromarketing space
  • Understanding of the scientific process, data collection, experimental design and analysis
