Product Manager – Emotiv SDK (Sydney, San Francisco)

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, passionate about building scientific products that customers love, to take ownership of our company’s end-user research tools for basic brain research and neuromarketing. Working closely with the VP of Product, you will play a key role in the definition, execution and assessment of core components of our product roadmap.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work with internal and external customers and stakeholders of Emotiv’s SDK and developer tools to identify new requirements, issues, and improvements and maintain a roadmap for future releases
  • Translate SDK product strategy into detailed user facing and technical requirements prioritised by business and customer impact
  • Work closely with design and engineering and QA teams to ensure product releases are bug free, on time, within budgets and aligned with requirements
  • Take responsibility for API documentation, guides, tools and sample code for developers
  • Identify and track product KPIs to inform design and strategy decisions
  • Act as an evangelist to build awareness and drive adoption of Emotiv’s SDK within the BCI developer community including current and prospective Emotiv customers
  • Represent the company by communicating to customers to provide support and solicit feedback on company products and services

 
Requirements

 

  • Proven work experience in SDK or API related product management
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of the product lifecycle
  • Solid technical background with hands-on experience in software development
  • Strong familiarity with the Internet of Things and cloud micro-services api design
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent preferred

 

Preferred skills and experience
 

  • Experience working with products that integrate one or more IoT software solutions using using platforms such as node-red
  • Experience using Agile Product Development best practices, including build verification testing, continuous integration and delivery
  • Experience supporting an active developer community
  • Strong interest in brain computer interfaces, the hacker community and/or education
  • Prior experience working with Emotiv’s SDK and hardware
