Emotiv EPOC Brain Activity Map

This application displays a real-time map of your mental activity in four significant brainwave frequency bands. Adjustable gain allows you to see detailed information and relative strengths between different brain regions. Adjustable buffer size allows you to see instant responses or average activity over longer periods.

Delta (0.5-4Hz)
- indicating deep sleep, restfulness, and conversely excitement or agitation when delta waves are suppressed

Theta (4-8Hz) - indicating deep meditative states, daydreaming and automatic tasks

Alpha (8-15Hz) - indicating relaxed alertness, restful and meditative states

Beta (15-30Hz) - indicating wakefulness, alertness, mental engagement and conscious processing of information.

Compatible with the Emotiv EPOC consumer headset and SDK developer and research headsets.

EEG reads only very high level activities in the many different locations in the brain. You cannot reconstruct memories, but you can record your general emotional state in real time. For many applications this is enough - such as when you want to record emotional tagging information with your photos and videos at the time you record them or later when you are reviewing them...

I tell my man to me if there is any application that reads your thoughts and memories of the past (memory)?

I-mi spune si mie cineva daca exista vreo aplicatie care i-ti citeste gandurile amintiri din trecut (din memorie)?

It would be ok for that purpose but maybe not great for very quantitative work. Do you want to see the activity in real time? The application allows for custom bands to be observed, although only one at a time. You could record the data and play back to view narrowband activity around different stimulus frequencies. I never used it for this purpose so I am not able to confirm it would work for sure, but it should go close with the custom bands.

gmac,
I am working on recording brain data under SSVEP stimulation and checking which areas of the brain "light up" in the occipital area of the brain, do you think that this software would allow me to see changes in the occipital area under SSVEP stimulation, or is it too simple?
