New application: Brain Activity Map, Emotiv EPOC Brain Activity Map available from the store
Please check out the new Brain Activity Map application available for sale through the eStore http://www.emotiv.com/apps/applications/135/766
Real-time contour map of Delta, Theta, Alpha and Beta waves across your brain!
This Application is Developed by Emotiv? Any trial version?
Has the application been tested on Windows 7, 32 bit / 64 bit?

Definitely works on Win7 32 bit Home. We'd be interested to hear if it works on 64-bit.

I'll test it for you, just get shipping to Canada setup and I'll gladly take a developer kit and let you know how if goes smile;)
Hi Sam,
You can already buy the developer kit (any of the SDK licenses) in Canada - since June 1 last year! We have already sold a lot of developer systems in Canada. The Consumer model is not yet available in Canada, awaiting regulatory approval.
OK some comments on the apps:

1) Using a 2D "map" of the brain is nice but not correct. A 3D module makes much more sense here, as the electrical signals that reach each and every sensor point should take into consideration the distance and relative location to different lobes. Take a look here:
http://www.pbs.org/wnet/brain/3d/

2) Mapping each sensor location to the right cortex it represents.

3) Your apps checks brainwaves frequencies - but does it check per electrode/sensor? It's not really understood

4) Does the APPS allow capturing of the events in a time-driven manner?

Seems like an interesting idea, but I really hope it will be with more features so it can be more useful.
Any chance of talking to these guys and getting the EPOC working with MOST-EEG.
They may be interested to get eeg data from Consumers?

This is great here is what it looks like in action. It works fine on Windows 7 64 bit

Great video. Thaks Tom!
Great looking app

I hope more people could post more videos regarding some other things like
- Closed eyes
- Eye blinking
- Math calculations
- Meditation
- etc

, or other actions than seem to have a distinctive pattern.

Now, with this app the Emotiv headset starts to show it's real potential. You don't have to have much age to be capable to understand the EEG and get interested on it. :)
Congratulations. for EPOC neuroheadset and price. Is perfect for games. But you have not taken into account and using it in regulation of brain waves, meditation, medical. Have uncovered a large part of the brain with sensors. EPOC Emotional Brain Activity Map is not included Epsilon brainwaves, brainwaves Lambda, Gamma and HyperGamma brainwaves. Sensors can not move the diseased areas. You have had many patients with epilepsy, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, and others who would buy the product .I hope that the future can choose to map sequences of 0.5 or 0.2 Hz. Now you can see only the alpha, beta, delta, theta. But you can not choose a sequence of them. Thank you for what device you made. When you put on the market a device with 30 sensors or more . Please give me an answer .
Hi,

Im also in Canada and I can't wait for having one. Any ETA on that? Also, let's say I'm impatient and which to buy the dev sets, is it usable as a normal "basic" one ? I guess so but want to be sure before maybe placing a order.

The developer headset will interface with all the same apps as the consumer model, and then some. The developer license also includes access to the API for integration with homegrown applications, and rights to distribute custom apps through Emotiv's distribution channel.
